We are a group of large-scale mask performers who embody a variety of creatures—from exotic animals to humanoid beings and fantasy figures. The group was formed through a series of mask-making workshops using recycled materials at Artistania in Berlin and is constantly evolving.
Our sketches and walking acts are always conceived with the context and the respective audience in mind. But they all have one thing in common: When we wander, we like to question the familiar and stimulate critical thinking by disrupting normality. We achieve this by surprising those around us with the strange and unexpected. At the same time, we love to play—through interactions, humor, rituals, and by appearing colorful, passionate, and surreal. The themes of our performances and improvisations in public spaces are connected to environmental protection and social justice, which we subtly incorporate.

Theatre of Details
Initially known for its use of puppets, masks, and object theater, the artistic methods of the Theatre of Details have become increasingly diverse and multifaceted. Today, the Theatre of Details uses a wide range of techniques, including lantern making, storytelling, land art, stop motion, and more.
The philosophy, however, has remained the same: Theatre of Details' various artworks aim to transform hostile environments into inspiring and social spaces. Giant puppets, contextual sculptures, creative workshops, collective creations... all these approaches follow the same logic: to use art as an international language to create connections between people and engage in civil society.
The goal of Theatre of Details is to strengthen social bonds and break isolation through artistic practices. The collaboration of people from diverse backgrounds within an artistic project creates a great sense of empowerment. We believe that realizing one's own creative potential and the opportunity to implement wild ideas together with others promotes political activation, community organization, and social responsibility.

Drums over Knives
Drums over Knives is a vegan drumming collective founded in 2018 that campaigns against the exploitation of both human and non-human animals and the destruction of the planet. Our name alludes to the documentary "Forks over Knives," and "Knives" refers to the unnecessary and cruel violence of bringing vast numbers of innocent sentient beings into the world, exploiting them, and then brutally killing them. We stand for compassion instead of cruelty. May all beings be free and happy!
We believe in the power of drums and music in general as tools for reconnecting with our natural compassion. The drum is the heartbeat of Mother Earth. With this, we accompany demonstrations, especially protest marches, that address veganism and related issues such as animal rights, human rights, anti-speciesism, justice, environmental protection, and sustainability. In doing so, we support various animal rights and environmental organizations.
With our music, we want to give activists a sense of community, strength, and euphoria. In addition to self-written songs and veganized cover versions, we also enjoy improvising and trying out new rhythms.
Let our drums, as a means of communication, cult objects, and one of the oldest musical instruments, touch you and transport you to other spheres!
We drum up support for the liberation of all animals!

Women put pressure on
We are the women who put pressure on!
A network of over 100 women* of different nationalities, ages, and social backgrounds. We are united by graphic design and the joy of collaborative linocutting.
Through our weekly meetings, we feel empowered as women and as migrants (most of us in the group are migrants). We are also a network of women who support each other, learn from each other, and become politicized through living together in diversity.
Women in Printing will be offering open linocut printing workshops every Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in our chocolate factory in the front building on the first floor.

Clown4all
Clown4all is a project funded by the European Solidarity Corps and supported by CABUWAZI Grenzkultur GmbH. These shows follow 85+ hours of online and offline training in theater, clowning, and humanitarian clowning. At the end of these trainings, performances are performed in designated refugee shelters with mentor Sabine Choucair.

Its approach is based on unconditional welcome, sharing experiences, mutual assistance, and continuing education. The association offers activities such as cooking workshops, food retail training, creative and artistic workshops, an introduction to market gardening, assistance with paperwork, and access to digital media.

XR Drumming

In Western cultural history, music has often been defined as an expression of the self (one's own emotions or the genius of a musician or composer); music is often analyzed as a representation of a culture or an individual—as an object that says something about the identity of the person or community that makes it. Music is not only a reflection of one's self and emotions but also a powerful way to connect with those who are not oneself. It is this intersection of self and other, of subject and object, that Western musicology tends to overlook.
We believe protest drumming is so powerful because it harnesses this element outside of the Western musical tradition—music as a powerful, unifying force between self and others, calling for and demanding change—and connects it with a transformed conception of voice in political democracy: the voice not as the disembodied expression of an individual or community, but the voice as an audible, collective reclamation of public space. The use of the term "tactical frivolity" is thus tactical—because music is not frivolous, but a binding agent and a productive force useful for collective action.
